George Zapf has joined Bassett Furniture Industries, Bassett, Va., as national sales manager for the company’s Bassettbaby juvenile division. Russ Berrie and Co., a provider of children’s plush toys and other gift items, plans to buy infant furniture supplier LaJobi Inds. and infant bedding and accessories supplier CoCaLo. Completion of the acquistions is expected to be soon, according to the company.
