AICO Moves High Point Showroom
July 16, 2009
Case goods importer AICO/Amini Innovation Corp., Pico Rivera, Calif., will relocate its High Point Market showroom from the seventh floor of the International Home Furnishings Center's Green Wing to a new, prime location on the eighth floor in the IHFC's Commerce Wing.
The company also extended its lease, signaling AICO's long–term commitment to the IHFC and to the High Point market in general.
The company plans to completely re-design the new showroom, space C-802, to showcase its line, including new collections Sedgewicke, Portrait Vue, and Grande Aristocrat. Those are additions to AICO's Michael Amini Original Furniture Designs, Michael Amini Casual Impressions, and Michael Amini … etcetera divisions.
"The High Point Market has been such an important venue for our industry, so we wanted to make sure we continued our presence there," said Michael Amini, AICO's founder and CEO. "A new showroom made sense at this time as well, as we want to continually show our buyers new and exciting product in an updated environment. This highly visible new location will be the perfect place to do so."
IHFC president and CEO, Tom Mitchell called the announcement "very exciting news, and proof of AICO's confidence in the industry, and an endorsement of the IHFC and High Point Market."
The re-designed showroom will open for the Fall Market, Oct. 17-21. A grand opening celebration is planned for Friday, Oct. 16 in the new space.
