ASFD Awards 15 Pinnacles

Fifteen companies and designers were honored at Monday night's 14th annual Pinnacle Design Achievement Awards by the American Society of Furniture Designers.

The ASFD presented the following awards at its annual dinner at High Point Market:
  • Black Ice, designed by Troy Hollis for Lexington Home Brands, was awarded the Pinnacle for major collections;
  • The Palomar Bunching Cocktail table, designed by Berry & Clark Design Associates for Bernhardt Furniture, was awarded the Pinnacle for occasional tables;
  • The Loft Table and Pot/Plate Rack, designed by Pamela Merritt and Donna Dill, was awarded the Pinnacle for occasional storage;
  • Artsycraftsy!, designed by Arlette Mulford, Jonah Shaw and Arielle Eckstut for Powell Co., was awarded the Pinnacle for youth furniture;
  • Veer, designed by John Caldwell for Tropitone Furniture Co., was awarded the Pinnacle for casual dining;
  • Milan Dining, designed by William Faber for Century Furniture, was awarded the Pinnacle for formal dining;
  • Aurora, designed by Rick Lee for American Leather, was awarded the Pinnacle for motion upholstery;
  • The Berger II Chair, designed by Joe Ruggiero for Miles Talbott Furniture, was awarded the Pinnacle for stationary upholstery;
  • The Springfield sofa and chair, designed by Amy Archer for American Leather, was awarded the Pinnacle for leather upholstery;
  • The Bloomin' Onion Vase, designed by Jeremy Penn for the Phillips Collection, was awarded the Pinnacle for accessories;
  • The Formae Contemporary, designed by George Chandler, David Martin and Charles Camacho for Hubbardton Forge, was awarded the Pinnacle for lighting;
  • Adagio, designed by Ken Levi and Andy Nielsen for aspenhome, was awarded the Pinnacle for home office;
  • Young Classic Tailor, designed by Ken Levi and Andy Nielsen for aspenhome, was awarded the Pinnacle for entertainment center and home theater;
  • Lature Lounge chair, designed by Shaun Sweeney for Woodard Furniture, was awarded the Pinnacle for summer/casual, and;
  • Kemperton Envision, designed by Mark Tucker III for Hooker Furniture, was awarded the Pinnacle for bedroom.
