Habersham Feathers Named Biltmore Upholstery Licensee
Biltmore Estate Taps Habersham Feathers for Licensed Furniture Collection
September 2008
Habersham Feathers, the high-end licensed upholstery collection from Habersham, Toccoa, Ga., has been named official upholstery licensee for Biltmore For Your Home. Joining Habersham furniture within the licensed division’s premium Biltmore Chateau Reserve brand, the new collection will include sofa, chaise, chair and other designs in an array of rich fabrics, trims and correlates inspired by the grand architecture and interiors of the famed estate in Asheville, N.C.
The new Biltmore Chateau Reserve upholstery and furniture designs will debut during High Point’s October 2008 International Home Furnishings Market, Oct. 20-26, in the special “Biltmore Habersham Home” within space 142 of Market Square.
Habersham Feathers debuted in Spring this year. Pieces in the new upholstery collection complement Habersham’s hand-painted, hand-finished furniture and custom cabinetry designs. Together, these designs, styles, fabrics and finishes can create a grand European casual lifestyle for the entire home.
“Together with our licensed furniture designs, the new upholstery reflects the art, architecture, hospitality and ambience of Biltmore,” said Matt Eddy, president of Habersham.
To showcase the versatility of the newest upholstery and furniture designs, as well as many of the classic best-sellers within the collection, the pieces will be featured in the Biltmore Habersham Home located in showroom’s first floor space. Inspired by the European architectural and design influences found throughout the 250-room French Renaissance-style chateau, the Biltmore Habersham Home will include a representation of a foyer, powder room, living, dining and keeping room, as well as a kitchen, master bed and bath suite. In addition to Biltmore upholstery pieces and other new furniture designs, the Habersham Home will also showcase the company’s custom cabinetry capabilities and hand-styled finish options.
“Fine upholstered furniture is going to be a key component in our portfolio of licensed Biltmore products and Habersham Feathers is the perfect partner for us in this category. Working with them is a wonderful compliment to, and expansion of, the longstanding partnership we already enjoy with Habersham, so we are very excited,” said Tim Rosebrock, vice president and general manager of licensing, The Biltmore Company.
