Bob's Discount Opens in Carle Place, N.Y.

Bob's Discount Furniture, Manchester, Conn., has opened its 35th store with a grand opening Thursday at new location in Carle Place, N.Y.
This latest opening comes shortly after Bob's expanded its retail presence in May with openings in Yonkers and Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; and with an opening last month in Woburn, Mass. The retailer has plans to continue expansion throughout 2010.
The new store location in Carle Place brngs 85 jobs to the local community and, in combination with the store openings in New York and Massachusetts earlier this year, Bob's has brought 241 new employment opportunities to the communities in its footprint in 2009. With the new Carle Place store, Bob's will employ a total of 355 people throughout New York.
"We couldn't be happier to open our new Carle Place store and offer another community our promise for quality furniture at everyday low prices," said Bob Kaufman, president of Bob's Discount Furniture. "We have received such a pleasant welcome to the neighborhood and are looking forward to being a committed member of the business community."
Through its Bob's Outreach program, as part of entrance into the Carle Place community, Bob's Discount Furniture will mae a $5,000 donation to the Carle Place School District.
