California Court Sides with Human Touch in Massage Chair Lawsuit

Human Touch, a manufacturer of massage chairs, announced Friday that it has won a court ruling against two companies the company accused of infringing on patents for chairs with lower-leg massagers.

The announcement by Human Touch, Long Beach, Calif., stated that the United States District Court had awarded it a poartial summary judgment in its lawsuit against King Kong USA and WFO Imports regarding key aspects of its massage technology. The ruling came 14 months after Human Touch and its attorneys initiated an investigation and filed suit in the federal court in California.

“Our retail partners, distributors and consumers are accustomed to knowing that there is a difference when enjoying the comforts of a Human Touch branded massage chair,” said President Andrew Cohen. “We will take all necessary measures to ensure that our consumers are never deceived by competitors.”
