Karim to Lead WithIt's "Competitive Intelligence" Event

Karim is one of the most prolific designers of his generation, with more than 3,000 designs in worldwide products and more than 300 awards to his credit. His award-winning designs include democratic objects such as the "Garbo" waste can and "Oh Chair" for Umbra. He has also created luxury products for clients such as Veuve Clicquot and Swarovski.
"We are excited and honored to present one of the world's most revered design talents in Leif Petersen's showroom," said Heinz Kattenfeld, chief operating officer for 220 Elm. "It is fitting that Karim should have the opportunity to address attendees at the largest international home furnishings tradeshow."
Karim's new designs for Bonaldo and Tonelli will premier at the October Market.
Diversity in design and the cross-pollination of ideas and materials has earned Rashid projects such as the interior of celebrity Chef Morimoto's restaurant and special exhibitions for Deutsche Bank and Audi. He collaborates with European resources Artemide and Magis to create signature furniture collections. Karim's collection for Magis is also available through the Leif Petersen showroom.
In addition to the ongoing recognition he receives from top consumer and design publications, Karim is a perennial winner of the Red Dot award, Chicago Athenaeum Good Design award, I.D. Magazine Annual Design Review and IDSA Industrial Design Excellence award.
