DOC Preliminary Ruling on 2007 Review of Chinese Bedroom Furniture

The U.S. Department of Commerce has issued preliminary results of its administrative and new shipper reviews for wood bedroom furniture manufactured in China and shipped to the U.S. market during the 2007 calendar year.

Sixteen mandatory respondents to the administrative review have qualified for a preliminary separate rate of 124.31 percent. Six other mandatory respondents received a People's Republic of China-wide rate of 216.01 percent.

In its new shipper review for 2007, DOC made a preliminary ruling that two manufacturers, Golden Well International Ltd. and Dongguan Sunshine Furniture Co. Ltd., will pay no duties on their 2007 shipments of wood bedroom furniture.
