Lower Prices for WHFA/NHFA Training Programs

March 16, 2009
The Western Home Furnishings Association's (WHFA) and National Home Furnishings Association's (NHFA) program partner, The Furniture Training Company (FTC), has announced lower pricing for all online furniture training courses. In response to the current economy and the need to train salespeople, FTC dropped prices up to 70 percent.

The Furniture Training Company has partnered with WHFA and NHFA and will give all members an additional 15 percent savings, allowing WHFA and NHFA members to use the Furniture Training Company training at greatly reduced fees.

"With this aggressive recession pricing, The Furniture Training Company is determined to assure that independent home furnishings retailers of all sizes not only survive, but thrive during this substantial downturn in the global economy," said Mark Lacy, president of The Furniture Training Company.

FTC courses teach sales associates on furniture product knowledge, selling furniture, and the basics of room design. Each course is only available online and makes training simple for busy retailers and salespeople unable to leave the showroom.

"E-learning programs from The Furniture Training Company have greatly increased our employee knowledge and skill levels," said Jeff Moran, owner, Lapeer Furniture & Mattress Center in Michigan. "As sales associates become better at their jobs; they sell more furniture, waste fewer customers visiting our store, and are more productive and efficient. Educated, well-trained sales associates are one of the main drivers we are using to continue profitability during low traffic periods."

WHFA and NHFA members can call (800) 422-3778 or (800) 888-9590, respectively, for more information. To learn more about The Furniture Training Company, visit www.furnituretrainingcompany.com
