Grand Home Furnishings Opens Superstore in Virginia
July 27, 2009Grand Home Furnishings opened a new store in Waynesboro, Va., on Friday, WVIR-TV reported last week.
The retailer had closed two locations in Waynesboro and Staunton in preparation for the new, larger store, which has as much space as the older locations combined. The 40,000-square-foot store should draw shoppers from both sides of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Grand Store Manager Colleen Price said, "A lot of people that live in Crozet and Ivy can get here quicker than if they go to 29 in Charlottesville," said Store Manager Colleen Price in the report. "Because when you get off the exit to 29, you have all these stop lights, so it's actually quicker and we have less traffic."
