Hickory Springs' Buster Mann Joins SFCA Board

Buster Mann, vice president of the Eastern Division for furniture and bedding components supplier Hickory Springs Manufacturing Co., Hickory, N.C., has been appointed to the board of directors of the Specialized Furniture Carriers Association.
A division of the American Home Furnishings Alliance, the SFCA is a network of furniture carriers whose primary function is to transport furniture products throughout North America.
Mann will represent the 225-member Suppliers Group of the AHFA, which includes a diverse group of companies supplying products and services to the residential furniture industry. He previously served the AHFA's Supplier Group as its president.
"I am proud to be asked to represent the Suppliers Group on the SFCA Board of Directors," Mann said. "I look forward to working with the other members of the board to stimulate the strategic thinking and operating intelligence companies need to improve profitability by managing the global supply chain in today's global marketing environment."
The SFCA was formed in 1986 for carriers whose primary function is to transport furniture products throughout North America. The SFCA became a division of the American Home Furnishings Alliance earlier this year.
