Klaussner Home Furnishings Launches Contract Division to Serve Hospitality Market

July 2008
Klaussner Home Furnishings, Asheboro, N.C., announced on Tuesday the launch of Klaussner Contract Furnishings, a new division focusing on the hospitality sector. The contract division will offer a full range of upholstery products including sofas, loveseats, chairs, sleepers, sectionals, chaises and ottomans.

Ron Werner, the recently appointed director of contract furnishings, will lead the division and spearhead Klaussner’s sales initiative in the hospitality industry.

“Our new contract division will focus on the same commitment that has always set Klaussner apart,” said President and CEO J.B. Davis. “We will offer quality contract products that can be customized at a value price point with one of the fastest delivery times in the industry.”

Klaussner Contract Furnishings also will offer the capability to handle specific design and production demands.

“We will prove to be a valued partner to the larger hospitality chains because of our volume capabilities,” Davis said.

Werner, a 30-year veteran of the contract furnishings industry, said Klaussner has the ability to create design and budget solutions.

“Because of the enormous production capacity from our factories in California, Iowa and North Carolina, our suppliers and our commitment to meeting delivery deadlines, we will be able to satisfy the unique needs of contract accounts, from large to small,” Werner said.

Klaussner also is counting on its widespread domestic production along the West Coast, in the Midwest and Eastern Seaboard to provide product cost advantages through reducing transportation costs.

To best leverage the division’s launch, Klaussner Contract Furnishings recently became a Corporate Sponsor of The Network of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH), an international non-profit organization that acts as the leading premier networking resource for the hospitality industry.

Klaussner will also be participating in a NEWH program as a sustainable “green” manufacturer promoting environmental practices and programs.
