Martha Stewart’s Neighborhood Coming To Florida

January 1904
Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia in New York, said Friday that the designer’s newest housing development project with Los Angeles-based KB Home will be a “new urbanism” community near Windermere, Fla.

The project, the seventh to be announced between KB and Stewart, will be built as a walkable neighborhood with homes built on smaller lots to encourage activity in public open spaces and parks. There will be 143 home sites with single-family homes starting in the low $300,000s and townhomes starting in the mid-$200,000s, according to KB Home’s printed announcement.

“Windermere offers the hometown charm of quaint stores, restaurants and ample recreational amenities,” said George Glance, president of KB Home’s Orlando division.

Martha Stewart communities have already been built in Fairburn, Ga., and Cary, N.C., and additional projects have been announced in Texas, California and Georgia.
