Delgatti Joins Bradington-Young as EVP

January 16, 2009
Industry veteran Mike Delgatti has joined Hooker Furniture's Bradington-Young leather upholstery and recliner division as executive vice president--merchandising.

Delgatti will report to Alan Cole, president and CEO of Hooker Furniture Upholstery, and will work out of Bradington-Young's offices in Cherryville, N.C. He will direct the development of both Bradington-Young domestically produced products and Seven Seas Seating imported products. Delgatti also will team with Craig Young, executive vice president of sales and marketing, in developing growth strategies and directions for Bradington-Young.

Most recently, Delgatti was executive vice president of sales and marketing at Southern Furniture Co. Prior to that, he served as president of Clayton Marcus, and as executive vice president of merchandising for occasional and upholstery product lines at Broyhill Furniture.

"Mike brings great merchandising expertise to Bradington-Young, and completes our management reorganization," Cole said. "He will help build on our strong core assortment of traditional leather upholstery as we broaden our product offerings to include more casual and transitional designs. He will further strengthen our already strong management team to lead our product growth in new and exciting directions."

"I am especially pleased to join Bradington-Young because of its legacy of high quality leather products, and also because of the stability and integrity of its parent company, Hooker Furniture," Delgatti said. "The opportunities to build on our existing base of products are key to our future growth and success."
