Industry veteran
Bill Cubberley has been named director of business development for
furniture importer Orient Express Furniture, a division of
Star International Furniture. The position is new for the company.
Cubberley has held sales and marketing positions in the furniture industry for more than 30 years and was senior vice president, sales and marketing for
Stanley Furniture for more than 15 years. Most recently, he was a consultant for A-America and Orleans International.
Cubberley reports to
Anders Johnson, president of Star, and he will act as a consultant in matters relating to the company. He will also work for
Christian Cousins, director of sales and product development at Orient Express, to develop a sales and distribution plan for the division.
“Bill’s experience in the industry is a valuable addition to our team,” Johnson said. “I look forward to uncovering the opportunities his insight has to offer.”
Cubberley will be based in High Point.
