Michigan's Peerless Mattress and Furniture Closing

Peerless Mattress and Furniture, Flint Township, Mich., will close after 85 years in business, the Flint Journal reported on Friday.
Another location in Lansing also will close.
A worker at the store told the paper that a final day has not been set.
Peerless had a store in downtown Flint until 1995, when a fire blamed on a mentally ill person destroyed the store. The retailer then rebuilt in Flint township.
