Fangjia Gets No Duty in Preliminary DOC Ruling

June 30, 2009

In a preliminary ruling last week in a new shipper review of Shanghai Fangjia Industry Co. Ltd., the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) found that the Chinese manufacturer had not dumped wood bedroom furniture in the U.S. market.

The review covers the six-month period Jan. 1-June 30, 2008. Cash deposits for subject merchandise exported during the review period by Fangjia of 216.01 percent remain in effect until DOC makes its final ruling.

Final results of the new shipper investigation of Fangjia are due in late September.
