Profitsystems Rolls Out Freight Program to All Retailers

August 7, 2009
Furniture retail automation vendor Profitsystems Inc., Colorado Springs, has expanded its freight savings program, PROFITfreight, to non-clients. The program, which started in 2005, has only been available to Profitsystems clients until now.

With the expansion, this program will now be available to not only retailers, but also vendor or service provider. PROFITfreight is designed to help retailers save money on their shipping which includes inbound, outbound and third--party shipments. The company said that to date, members have saved more than $3.6 million collectively.

PROFITfreight offers a full-time freight staff, dedicated to providing retailers with excellent freight rates with nationwide carriers, shorter road days, online quoting capability, outstanding customer service, and more.

"PROFITfreight is so confident that our members will see savings from the program that we offer a money back guarantee," said Ricki Stark, vice president of PROFITservices. "By opening the program to non-clients we expect the savings for each retailer to be even greater in the future."

Benefits of the PROFITfreight program include reduced residential delivery fees, no-hassle nationwide coverage, waived notification fees, online quoting capability, volume pricing for larger shipments and one week or less coast-to-coast delivery. PROFITfreight also provides many services for retailers including quotes, education, and advice on routing and pricing. Their experts will review their members' accounts on an individual basis to provide them with a complete and thorough analysis of their shipping needs.

"Since rates are negotiated based on volume, each new member helps guarantee the best possible rates and services to all of the members," said Layla Berglund, director of PROFITfreight. "The more retailers PROFITfreight has, the bigger the savings."
