Schnadig Gets Lauren Ralph Lauren Home License

September 29, 2009

Schnadig Corp. has landed a licensing agreement with Ralph Lauren Home, a division of Polo Ralph Lauren Corp., to manufacture and distribute upholstery and case goods worldwide under the Lauren Ralph Lauren brand.

"Lauren Furniture represents an exciting opportunity for the company to complement the Lauren lifestyles," said Frank Guzzetta, president of Ralph Lauren Home. "This new collection offers a wide array of styles and materials all of exceptional quality. We are pleased to have a partner that truly understands Lauren Home and the lifestyle that is so important to the integrity of the brand. We look forward to a productive and profitable collaboration with Schnadig International.”

"We are excited about sharing the prestige of Ralph Lauren," said Jeff Young, chairman and CEO of Schnadig International Corp. "Our partnership with the universally respected and consumer-coveted Lauren brand is another key step in the evolution of Schnadig International."

A longtime licensing agreement for furniture between Polo Ralph Lauren and Furniture Brands International company Henredon ended earlier this year.

E.J. Victor is the furniture licensee for Ralph Lauren Home, which is separate from Lauren Furniture, where Schnadig is licensee.

Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE: RL) for more than 40 years has been leader in the design, marketing and distribution of premium lifestyle products in four categories: apparel, home, accessories and fragrances.
