Luxury furniture vendor Theodore Alexander has named Sophie Wang country manager for China.
Wang, who previously was the marketing director for a Shanghai-based design center and has worked extensively in the Chinese home furnishings market, will work with Theodore Alexander’s exclusive distributor in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong to enhance awareness and sales of the brand. She will also provide training to ensure Theodore Alexander products are marketed and merchandised in keeping with the brand’s luxury position.
Wang is based in Shanghai and reports to Harvey Dondero, CEO of Theodore Alexander.
In related news, Werner Freundel will return to Theodore Alexander’s headquarters in Vietnam in the expanded role of merchandising director, encompassing line management and all aspects of merchandising across the company’s casegood, upholstery and accessory lines. He reports to Dondero.
