State Closes N.Y. Furniture Store
June 24, 2009The State of New York has seized the Discount Furniture Center and Sleep Shop for nonpayment of taxes, the Utica Observer-Dispatch reported on Tuesday.
Signs displayed inside the store's windows read: "Warning. This property has been seized for nonpayment of taxes, and is now in the possession of the state of New York."
The store is owned by Ed Grossman Furniture Company Inc., the report said.
