Martha Stewart Gets Into The Good Bed
The Good Bed, A Partnership with Schottenstein Stores, Will Introduce Line of 12 Mattresses
September 2008
On Tuesday, Martha Steward Living Omnimedia announced the creation of a new venture, The Good Bed, which will offer a line of 12 mattresses starting at $1,000.
Now available through select furniture stores, sleep shops and department stores, The Good Bed’s products start at about $1,000 and feature proprietary dual-directional coil innerspring support and a soy foam comfort edge designed to make it easier to get into and out of bed.
A press release Tuesday said the marketplace is filled with “exceptionally thick” mattresses, and Stewart worked with The Good Bed to develop products that are sensibly scaled and provide lasting comfort and support. The line also has “continental tailoring” designed for the easier placement of fitted sheets.
MSLO Co-CEO Robin Marino said: “Mattresses are a natural extension of our home furnishings assortment. We are pleased to be collaborating with The Good Bed, which shares our commitment to bringing well-designed, high-quality products to consumers.”
The Good Bed, based in High Point, will be exhibiting the line at the upcoming High Point Market, which begins Oct. 20.
