Zenith Shippers Group Tops 10K Containers Annually

April 9, 2009
Zenith Ocean Shippers' Association, a separate member-owned entity of Conover, N.C.-based Zenith Global Logistics providing home furnishings and accessories retailers and manufacturers with international shipping services, has surpassed 10,000 containers annually less than one year after formation.

"ZOSA represents our customers' interests in maximizing efficiency, cost competitiveness and quality," said Steve Wolfe, Zenith Global's vice president of business development. "ZOSA members benefit from significant volume discounts through the association's multiple steamship contracts. With a volume now exceeding 10,000 containers annually, our customers, collectively, have negotiating power that can benefit each of them individually. The Association is also continuing to add new members, which will result in higher volume to negotiate. The end result is greater value to ZOSA members."

ZOSA uses only Tier 1 steamship companies, and a single-source system means ZOSA members have full visibility across all carriers at all times.

Other recent news from Zenith includes the addition of Asia-based partners CV International and Hecny Group for customized global supply chain logistics services, including freight forwarding, origin booking services and customs clearance; and a partnership with Hong Kong-based integrated distributions services giant IDS Group to expand warehousing, logistics and transportation services to 15 key ports throughout Asia. Finally, the company expanded its Less-Than-Container service without cubic foot minimums to four new ports in the Pacific Rim, bringing its LCL/no-minimum locations to six.
