Leslie Fishbein died today at noon, according to published reports. FIshbein, president of Kacey Fine Furniture in Denver, was taken off life support more than a week ago at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital, according to The Denver Post. Fishbein, 55, was admitted to the hospital March 4 following a reaction to treatment for chronic back pain. She was placed on life support, which was removed March 7. The hospital released the following statement from Fishbein’s family: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, daughter and sister, Leslie Fishbein, this Wednesday March 19 at 12 p.m. Leslie was

Never again will I hear that great voice from across the way send a warm “hello darling” or hello sweetie” from across a showroom, restaurant or room.
Leslie Fishbein, the personality that was Kacey Fine Furniture and the one with those always-welcoming words, died Wednesday after 15 days in a Denver hospital, during which I’m sure she fought like hell to recover. That’s just the way she was.
Never again will our industry see such an energetic woman that so passionately loved her business, her customers, the furniture industry and her partner and husband Sam.

Kacey Fine Furniture’s Leslie Fishbein died Wednesday. She was 55. FIshbein, president of Kacey in Denver, was taken off life support more than a week ago at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital. Funeral services for Fishbein are scheduled for Friday at 3 p.m. at Temple Emanuel, 51 Grape St. in Denver. Interment is private. In addition to her many activities in the Denver area, Fishbein took an active role in the furniture industry community. She served several terms on the board of directors of the National Home Furnishings Association and was a judge for the annual ASFD Pinnacle Awards. Fishbein was admitted to the

Kacey Fine Furniture President Leslie Fishbein is in a Denver hospital after suffering from complications from back surgery Thursday. The report in The Denver Post stated that she is on life support. The 55-year-old is a well-known presence in Colorado, appearing on TV and in print ads for the six-store chain. She is also a well-known figure in the furniture industry for her long leadership of the chain that was launched in the ‘50s by her father and mother, Jack and Shirley Barton. She operates the middle- to higher-end store with her husband, Sam Fishbein, the company’s CEO.

Belfort Furniture in Dulles, Va., was one of Pennsylvania House’s top five dealers in the country in recent years, but the Washington, D.C.-area retailer is winding down business with the solid wood case goods vendor after a long partnership. Now, Belfort sells Pennsylvania House on a very limited basis, essentially filling out old customer orders.
