The Society for Human Resource Management presented a Competitive Workforce Award to NFM as part of the organization’s Human Capital Leadership Awards, according to an announcement Thursday. As many as 31 percent of households are “credit constrained,” and new store charge cards, mortgages and new car loans are largely out of reach for those shoppers due to their less-than-perfect credit, according to researchers. However, most of these consumers can easily buy new furniture thanks to in-house credit programs at retailers like Badcock Furniture whose lending programs are far more flexible and locally focused than other major credit issuers.
