
The furniture industry was getting out and about in January. Feathers Custom Home Furnishings launched the Phoenix region’s first Habersham Home store-in-a-store with a 10,000-square-foot presentation in the retailer’s Scottsdale, Ariz., location.
Lifestyle Enterprise opened its doors in late January to scores of buyers for a scaled-down version of the Forbidden City Furniture Show, an annual event with a four-year history. About 300 buyers from 125 stores attended the two-day event where the focus was on traffic builders such as $299 dinette sets or $499 bedrooms. A reception for the visitors was held at the High Point Country Club.
Acton, Mass.-based Circle Furniture tapped bedroom supplier Woodforms as its 2008 Vendor of the Year. The retailer’s award focuses on a New England-based manufacturer for its award each year.
At Las Vegas Market in February, Zenith Global Logistics Solutions hosted customers for a reception at Bellagio. In the Phillips Collection’s World Market Center Showroom, the Young Home Furnishings Professionals, a group comprised of up-and-coming executives under 40, gathered for a networking session amidst the showroom’s art objects and accessories.
