Paris Flea Market, International Buyers Receptions and More

High Point Market might have seen lighter-than-usual traffic, but there was no shortage of social activities. Hooker Furniture divisions Bradington-Young and Sam Moore hosted a launch party for the new Paris Flea Market program. The National Home Furnishings Association held ribbon-cutting festivities for its new Retail Resource Center in Plaza Suites. French Heritage had a “Paris Salon” atmosphere when President Jacques Wayser played piano and sang songs in his native tongue for guests.

Chromcraft by CR-Home hosted dealers for the launch of its Southern Living collection. International buyers enjoyed a reception at the String & Splinter Club. Metropolitan Home held a book signing and party in the Market Square courtyard. Other parties included a welcome home for Guildmaster CEO Steve Crowder, who had been roadtripping across the country visiting retailers far and wide; nightly wine tastings at Cresent Furniture and casual get-togethers with Samuelson Furniture. And last but not least, Home Furnishings Business took home a HOME Award from the American Home Furnishings Alliance for excellence in trade journalism.
